This document includes all identified products based on desiccated thyroid. It is divided into three sections.
The first section includes all products which are formally recognised as desiccated thyroid with a declared T4 and T3 content. These are, where possible, taken from official details such as the FDA in the USA. When official details are not available, products are self-declared by the manufacturer.
The second section identifies compounding pharmacies who will dispense specially manufactured desiccated thyroid products – usually in capsules. These might vary in excipients used and dosages offered. The pharmacy will require an appropriate prescription.
The third section lists many products which make no claims that they contain a defined amount of thyroid hormone. Some claim that they have no thyroid hormone content, while others leave us to interpret their claims.
All PDFs on this site should be viewable within the page and also be available to be downloaded. However this might not work on all possible platforms.
Reasons to download
